The Emerald Society was first established in 1956. The Society was formed by Irish born or Irish descent that were proud of the glorious traditions that were brought from Ireland to the United States of America and to the New York Fire Department.

The FDNY Emerald Society is a Fraternal organization open to FDNY Members of Irish heritage, 2018 dues are $20 for active members. Retirees dues are $10. Dues can be deducted automatically, or mailed to Attn. Walter Dreyer 146 Iris Ave., Floral Park, NY. 11001.

2018 FDNY EMERALD SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS DINNER
On Wednesday, May 23rd, at McQuades Restaurant in Lynbrook we held our annual Emeralds Scholarship Awards dinner. Dan Cavenaugh, and Billy Nolan were present along with the 5 recipients and their respective FDNY fathers.
